Abortion Clinics Closing Rapidly

Record Pace Of Clinic Closings

The good news and the bad news. More than fifty-eight U.S. abortion clinics have closed shop permanently, or stopped providing the life-ending abortion since 2011. According to Bloomberg.com, together with Guttmacher Institute, indicated clinics have closed at a record pace since 2011.

But Susan B. Anthony List recently had their research arm (Charlotte Lozier Institute), put out a new analysis showing under Obamacare exchanges, taxpayers will be subsidizing approximately 111,500 abortions yearly.

Result Of Massive Closings

But during the last three years, an average of 19 abortion clinics closed each year. That’s more than double the rate in the decade before 2008. What was once a 705-center abortion network, is shrinking at a historic pace. A few months ago, there were only 591 known centers left. With the increasing rate of abortion clinic shut-downs, it may be 20 years until this barbaric act has been decimated—legally. Of course, changing Roe vs Wade allows one to play in a different ballpark.

For the first time since Roe v. Wade the pro-life movement has adopted a state-by-state strategy, including more than just clinic protests or sidewalk counseling (both of which are important).

Closings  Tip Of Iceberg

Without a doubt, improved pre-natal care has spawned “detailed ultrasounds”, convincing 78 percent of mothers to give birth after seeing their live babies growing inside them.

It’s known 21 states have now banned private health insurers from providing abortion coverage, per Jeffrey Young in the Huffington Post [9/3/13]. Nevertheless, 57% paid for their abortions out of pocket, including 63% of those with private insurance

After legal homicide by abortion is cleaned up, society as a whole faces similar life-threatening problems.

Many fetal homicide laws make an exception, only for mothers (or doctors with mothers’ permission) to kill their children. The problem–one group of people is allowed to kill another group of people at will. It’s only a matter of time before that permission spreads to even more people. It’s already what is happening with euthanasia in Europe. If America adopts this position, many people would be excluded and left without basic rights.

Abortion Doctors Falling Like Rocks

With abortions, a 2011 study published by Dr. Norman [Professor/University of British Columbia] found physicians providing abortions in hospitals in rural British Columbia had dropped 62% between 1998-2005.

Abortion Rights (UK abortion movement), reports having concerns from responses from medical students, when they were asked about views on abortions and their willingness to perform them.

This year in Italy also illustrates the decreasing number of doctors and medical professionals willing to participate in abortions. A report by the Italian government has found  80% of gynecologists (some areas as much as 91%), and over 50% of anesthesiologists/nurses refusing to participate in abortions, with the number growing.

In 2007, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists was aware of the growing problem of recruits refusing any training in abortion, and was very worried about this future ‘service’.

Abortion supporters in the U.S. are very concerned about the dropping rate of American doctors willing to perform abortions. The number has been rapidly decreasing, per the Guttmacher Institute (January)A study in Obstetrics and Gynecology [2011], found while 97% of OB-GYNs have encountered patients wanting an abortion, with doctors only 14 percent are willing to perform them. This dropped from 22% in 2008.

This quote by Elizabeth Nash (Guttmacher State Issues Manager) says it all: “This kind of change is incredibly dramatic. What we’ve been seeing since 1982 was a slow decline, but this kind of change … [is] so different from what’s happened in the past.”

Progress is accelerating, and statistics contained in a Huffington Post story, actually reveal abortion clinics closing in record numbers. In the same article, Kat Sabine (Executive Director/NARAL/Arizona) exclaims, “This has turned into a nightmare.”

Clinic Re-Opening Doors In Asheville

But then you come to Femcare on Orange Street in Asheville, NC. Recently, it was also shut down due to regulatory difficulties. But after a week it reopened because of  ‘supposed’ changes in how they did abortions. Doesn’t any abortion stop a beating heart, and therefore a life and a soul God has made?

We know now a defunct ‘Femcare’ in Asheville is only a matter of time…
