By News Desk Editor:

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has been smacked down on numerous occasions by the Supreme Court, and today was another such occasion.

The Court today gave the Trump Administration a temporary lifting of the restrictions on the “travel ban”. Justice Anthony Kennedy signed the one page order Monday, just one day before the Ninth Circuit’s restrictions would have gone into place.

The travel ban blocks travelers from six heavily Muslim populated countries from entering the U.S. for ninety days.

While the ninth circuit had also blocked the Trump Administration from banning certain extended family members of someone in the U.S., the administration chose not to fight the “close-family aspect of the district court’s modified injunction.”

The U.S. Supreme Court will also soon be hearing two other cases that were challenging the travel ban that have now been consolidated to one case.
