Freedom of speech…I think most CHO readers would agree that the First Amendment is something that none of us should take for granted.

The internet age has brought with it a myriad of ways to communicate. That can be a blessing or a curse.

The internet also brings with it a number of gray areas for social network platforms and online publishers. It also sometimes means murky water even for casual users of the internet, in terms of freedom of speech. What is allowed? What isn’t? Who decides?

Debate is ongoing currently about “net neutrality”.

I recently received an email from another publisher telling that his site had published a recent column that examines in detail a wide range of issues pertaining to freedom of speech in the digital age. You may find this an interesting read.
