Do you really trust your elected officials to play with the Constitution?

Those who follow my writings know I am not a “Party” person – I don’t believe in them and I believe they aid and foster the continual separation in this country, always about something.

However, on August 22, 2012, The Republican National Committee, Committee on Resolutions adopted the following in reference to a Constitutional Convention:

  • WHEREAS, the Constitution is silent as to the qualifications of the delegates to such a convention and how or by whom they should be selected; and,
  • WHEREAS, the Constitution is also silent as to the agenda of such a Convention and sets out no way to limit the agenda of such a Convention, and,
  • WHEREAS, former U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger concluded that there is no effective way to limit or muzzle the actions of a Constitutional Convention after it is convened; and,
  • WHEREAS, a Constitutional Convention would attract a multitude of individuals and special interest groups with agendas that would alter our Constitution beyond recognition; and,
  • WHEREAS, well known Democrat members of the US Congress are currently advocating a Constitutional Convention to introduce a number of amendments that would enshrine and effectuate their liberal agenda; and
  • WHEREAS, the Constitution of the United States is a timeless document which, by limiting the powers of the government it created and guaranteeing the freedom and opportunity of the citizens for whom it was created, has produced the best and most productive nation in the history of the world

Resolving, that the Republican National Committee strongly opposes the convening of a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution of the United States for the reason that the risk of loss far exceeds the possibility of gain from such an uncontrolled and uncontrollable proceeding.

And I and others wholeheartedly agree!

Just who are these individuals who are supporting a Convention of States? You do understand there are both “D”s and “R” involved in this. The alphabet has come together to gain control of you and your every being.

Mark Zuckerberg, wet behind the ears school kid who got lucky and has made billions off the advertising from his Facebook invention and the people who don’t realize how he was manipulating them. How do you trust this person that says, he “believes that the world is in need of a ‘global superstructure'”?  So now he admits he not only supports a Con V but the New World Order.

Ashley Sanders. long-time community activist, works for Peaceful Uprising a climate justice organization (do I have to remind the readers once again that the UN has admitted the climate scam is just that?) and helped organize Occupy Freedom DC and Salt Lake City and is behind Move To Amend. Now we not only have Social Justice but Climate Justice!

Daniel Lee, is an active member of Occupy Los Angeles and Inter Occupy. He participated in Occupy encampments across the country as well as done community organizing locally in Los Angeles; and George Friday who has a degree in political science, is a community organizer and works on social justice change. And there are many more of these vermin!

Mark Levin– I was a follower of Mark Levin however I cannot find a rational reason he is supporting/pushing the ConCon other than to back up what he stated in his book. My personal observation tells me that he has NOT done his homework. He also does not believe in Nullification – hum!

Levin’s reason for a ConCon is a “balanced budget” amendment of which makes no sense. We have laws on the books that require a budget every year to be submitted and passed and balanced – anyone know how long it has been since we even had a budget let alone a balanced one? If legislators cannot follow the laws we already have what makes the supporters of the ConCon think another amendment would change that? They just spend!

His reasoning of a “balanced budget” amendment actually would legalize Congress’ unconstitutional spending and it does absolutely nothing to control the debt. The original writings of our Framers told the states what to do when the government violates the Constitution – Nullification of the unlawful act is among the first of the recommended remedies – not one of which is an “amendment of the Constitution”. States should nullify unconstitutional acts of the federal government yet most of the 50 states are refusing to do that! Why?

Levin’s otherwise well-educated and well-meaning conservatives have succumbed to Levin’s siren song and they have gone so far as to deny the constitutionality of nullification and to insist that an Article V convention is the only way to restore the balance of federalism in our Republic.

Does anyone understand how dangerous it is to follow just one person’s opinion?

In Federalist No.44 (12th paragraph from end), Madison says elect more faithful representatives! But we keep reelecting the same sorry people because we know their names and they are in our party. So, then you go read Washington’s Farewell address and he tells you the political parties will be the ruination of the country because of the egos of men – those very same men who are trying to tell us we need a ConCon so they can change whatever they want into whatever they want.

Do you really trust your elected officials to play with the Constitution???? Think long and hard about it!

Those of us who respect our Constitution don’t want to change it but require Federal and State officials to obey the Constitution we have or elect ones who will. The Oath of Office in Art. VI, last clause, requires federal and state officials to support the Constitution. This requires them to refuse to submit to acts of the federal government which violate the Constitution. The Oath of Office requires obedience to the Constitution alone. The Oath does not require obedience to persons, to any agency of the federal government, or to any federal court.

David Barton – My spiritual self cannot get a handle on his support of this ConCon venture of which even his explanation is not clear – it’s like walking endlessly in a fog continually asking yourself ‘where did I miss the signs’, or ‘can I believe anything he has said’ and better still ‘can I still trust my gut instincts”? I have always had very good discernment – sometimes to a fault as people think I am “stuck-up” and it’s not that at all. I love people, but I never walk into a room until I have scoped it out entirely and find the best place to put myself. This used to drive my kids nuts when they were growing up especially when it came to some of their choices in friends.

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) says D.C., is irrevocably broken and is structurally incapable of fixing itself (and this is true but it is our obligation to take care of this not self-serving individuals), and has long advocated for an Article V Convention of States to propose new amendments to the Constitution. Now, Senator Coburn has written a book about it. In Smashing the DC Monopoly: Using Article V to Restore Freedom and Stop Runaway Government, Coburn explains how an Amendments Convention would bypass a corrupt Congress to return the federal government to the control of We The People as it was intended.

Obviously, the Senator has NOT read the Constitution or the warnings of our founders on the dangers of the very thing he speaks. He is part of the problem as we have watched his voting along with others. We used to support him, but his votes have not always been in the best interest of America.

His example:  Last September, the government said that the federal deficit was $484 billion. The debt went up $1.6 trillion. Explain to me, if our deficit was only $484 billion, how’d the debt increase by four times that amount? My biggest issue is that the real debt grew $6 trillion. We’re now up to $124 trillion in unfunded liabilities, which, over the next 50 years, the major portion of that is going to have to be paid back. Guess who’s going to have to pay that back? Millennials. That’s $30,000 per year, per millennial.

No amendments or new Constitution will fix what Coburn speaks off because Congress continues to do as they please – they are NOT going to follow a new Constitution except for their own benefit any more than they are now.

Mark Meckler – Mr. Tea Party man who saw nothing wrong with taking a paycheck in the amount of $12,000 a month on OUR donations implying what he thinks is right will work. Former co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots (TPP) Meckler has moved on to forming Citizens for Self-Governance where he is the President. He state’s “their focus is on broadening the philosophical reach of the idea of ‘self-governance’ outside of the Tea Party movement.” So much for the former support of the grassroots guys! Now he is trying to play with the big boys!

Meckler’s simple and misguided reasoning for the support of a ConCon is “By calling a convention of states, we can stop the federal spending and debt spree, the power grabs of the federal courts, and other misuses of federal power. The current situation is precisely what the Founders feared, and they gave us a solution we have a duty to use. “The actual solution is nullification not reframing the Constitution.

This is interesting as we already have laws and the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights in place with a feeding of the Federalist Papers to oversee all of what he mentions. The problem is the Politicians refuse to abide by any of them – so what is the point of adding more amendments?

Michael Farris – He is referred to as a Constitutional Attorney (although this writer has found following Kris Anne Hall to be more truthful when it comes to constitutional law). He is the Executive Director of Parental Rights.org; founder of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) and Patrick Henry College. Home Schooler’s parents all over the country look to Farris almost as their protector and savior from the big bad wolves and he could be. But his total distortion regarding the Parental Rights Act (PRA) is leading all parents down a path of parental rights destruction.

The Declaration of Independence tells us our Rights come from God not the government; they are unalienable. The very purpose of the government is to SECURE the rights God gave to us and when the government seeks to take away our rights it is time to throw them out with the “bath water. Farris in pushing for his Parental Rights Amendment to be added to the Constitution. What I find wrong with this and so should all parents, is he states as a man of God so he says, that our parental rights should be under the “long arm of government supervision“.

George Soros is funding both sides of this boondoggle and the right is stating that by opposing the Convention of States Americans are siding with Soros. Do not be fooled – Soros is funding both sides of this ugliness. The financier of global fascism —  is pumping millions of dollars into the same Article V campaign that is being promoted by Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and other popular conservative spokesmen and at the same time financing the other side.

Do your homework America! It is up to the American people to put this country back on track – not some of the very same corrupt elected officials who have gotten us to where we are.

I am sure it would surprise devoted, but deluded, Article V advocates that Wolf-Pac is involved in this and they are just the tip of the iceberg. These good people would be wise to look at this heavily abbreviated roster of their radical fellow travelers in the con-con movement, each of which is a registered “founding member” of the “Move to Amend” coalition.

It’s doubtful that Mark Levin’s legion of listeners would be as eager to get behind his Article V con-con agenda if they knew whom they were fighting beside and how radically their new allies want to change our beloved Constitution.

And this is the problem – they cannot guarantee the outcome of such a convention. In fact, considering the lists of leftist groups like Alliance for Democracy, Center for Media and Democracy, Code Pink, Independent Progressive Politics Network, Progressive Democrats of America, Sierra Club and Vermont for Single Payer the results of the convention could be an outright scrapping of the Constitution written by the Founders in favor of one more in line with the progressive ideologies of those just listed and others.

I hate to be negative, but our elected officials have shown they cannot be trusted and whether they want our children to learn about the Constitution or not – it is who we are!

In the process they are leading them into a Communist agenda/NWO to be overseen by the UN. Diane actually began her Education research regarding the “International Baccalaurate” (IB) program and that has branched out into all aspects of education - foreign and domestic (Gulen Charter schools & UN) and now includes Charter Schools with their “unelected” school boards and focus to eliminate our Representative form of Government. She no longer supports any political party seeing them as a constant division within the country that is never going to be repaired if we continue on this path.
