As the caravan of invaders heads toward our southern border, in hopes of getting Democrat Party “free stuff”, President Trump is, according to reports, planning on signing an executive order that would put a halt to the anchor baby factory…

(Fox News) — President Trump said in a newly released interview he plans to sign an executive order ending so-called “birthright citizenship” for babies of non-citizens born on U.S. soil — a move that would mark a major overhaul of immigration policy and trigger an almost-certain legal battle.

Birthright citizenship allows any baby born on U.S. soil to automatically be a U.S. citizen.

The policy, which stems from a disputed but long-recognized interpretation of the 14th Amendment, has given rise to what Trump considers abuse of the immigration system. Trump told “Axios on HBO” that the U.S. is the only country in the world “where a person comes in and has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States … with all of those benefits.” (read full article at Fox)

CHO Quick Reaction:

The left will undoubtedly go bonkers and attempt to challenge this legally. I can hear them now, “bigot, xenophobe, racist.” They’ll bring out their recent war cry, “that isn’t who we are”. And of course they will loudly try to claim that the anchor baby provision is “settled law”.

Settled law, my derriere! If anything should be an affront to a moral people, it should be how the left misused and abused the 14th amendment. The 14th amendment was written after the conclusion of the Civil War, or as we say here in South Carolina, the “War of Northern Aggression”, and it was designed to correct a great wrong of slavery.

The left-wingers who claim the 14th amendment grants citizenship to illegal aliens, or as they say, the “undocumented”, are either totally ignorant of the history of the amendment, or they are simply choosing to be ignorant in order to advance their agenda of overwhelming the republic with third world Democrat voters.

I challenge them to read this from the actual author of the 14th amendment,  Senator Jacob M. Howard:

“that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.” (emphasis added)

The 14th amendment  was specifically written to ensure the rights of the children of former slaves. Are the Demo-Coms really that insensitive towards black Americans that they wish to twist the plain meaning of the amendment as stated by its author in order to give “rights” to criminal invaders?

Given that they are the party of judicial activism, a “living” constitution and political correctness, I think we all the know the answer.

  1. Whatever you think about this issue I believe you should be terrified at the idea that the President can ‘amend’ the Constitution unilaterally. That is the road to dictatorship.

    • The problem is that an activist court already “amended” it, by willfully ignoring the original intent of the 14th amendment. Therefore in this case, an executive order would not be amending it, rather it would be to restore it to what the author plainly, in his own words meant. Ideally, congress would then simply codify it into law that the offspring of aliens are not eligible for birthright citizenship.
